Mike Alexander resides in Houston, Texas, has published five poetry chapbooks: Ampersand (1990), References (1996), January Y2K Blues (1999), Blinded by Absinthe (2004) and We Internet in Different Voices (Modern Metrics, 2010), but this is his first full-length collection. He has served on the board of two small press poetry journals, lyric poetry review and The Panhandler. More recently, he has been on the Board of Directors of Mutablis Press, a non-profit literary press, and on the selection committee of Public Poetry, a non-profit partnership with Houston Public Library, to promote the poetry community in Houston.
